Course Objectives

This course is designed to impart a fundamental understanding of techniques to isolate and characterize proteins including chromatography, visible spectroscopy, electrophoresis, and various types of kinetic analyses. Proteins are the main focus of the course; however, basic information regarding lipids, carbohydrates, and nucleic acids will be discussed. BL4010 is a prerequisite for this course.
