| The
MTU Society of Clinical Laboratory Scientists is a campus organization
geared toward students in the field of Clinical Lab Science (Medical
Technology).
Students involved
with the SCLS are encouraged to become active in learning more about
their profession by attending guest lectures, touring area laboratories,
and joining National Professional organizations, such as:
the American Society for Clinical
Laboratory Science (ASCLS).
the American Society
of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP)
the Americal Society for Cytotechnology
and/or the National society for Histotechnology
SCLS membership
is open to all academic levels. Members help the
organization earn funds for an annual year-end banquet to honor
our outstanding members, and thank the officers for service to the
organization.

IS ...Scholarship"
The TECH IS ... Scholarship, founded by our organization, is awarded
to an
eligible SCL junior SCL student every year. This award is based
upon academic performance, professional attitude, and SCLS participation.
