Sciences Seminar: Dr. Jeffrey Jentzen, Biological Sciences '75, presented a seminar discussing how genetic makeup can profoundly affect the influence of pharmacologically-active compounds on the human body. He discussed several past and on-going case studies with applications in both forensic science and current health care decision making Dr. Jentzen career path includes a B.S. in Biological Sciences, Physician Forensic Pathologist and Medical Examiner. He also is a faculty member at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Department of Pathology. In 1988 he was awarded the Outstanding Young Alumni award from the MTU Alumni Association. He also serves on the Forensic Science Advisory Committee at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. As Chief Medical Examiner his primary duty is investigating and determining the cause, circumstances and manner in each case of sudden, unexpected or unusual death in Milwaukee County. In addition, his office provides health outreach, tracks infectious disease outbreaks, manages a forensic toxicology laboratory, and assists in death investigation cases in others parts of Wisconsin.
