Students are strongly encouraged to contact faculty with similar research interests prior to applying so that they can discuss potential research projects, expectations, funding and to determine if there is space available in their research lab. The name of the potential advisor should be referenced in the applicant's statement of interest. Applicants may also contact the Departmental Graduate Advisor for details about the application process, general questions about the graduate program and availability of teaching assistantships.
The application deadline is January 15th for admission for the following academic year. However, we welcome applications at any time from students who are responding to a posted opening for a graduate position or if they have communicated with a potential adviser with funding.
