Andy
Carlson is a Master's student under Dr. Casey Huckins in the
Fish Ecology Lab. He is looking at the establishment and dispersal
of coaster brook trout in the Keweenaw Peninsula.
A
native of upstate New York and a graduate of Cornell University
in 2000, his research interests focus on the ecology and community
dynamics of cold water fish communities. Some of his past
research has dealt with the effects of atmospheric deposition
on Adirondack ecosystems (especially relating to the fish
communities) with the Adirondack Lakes Survey Corporation.
He
has also worked with the Cold Water Fisheries Unit at Cornell
University assisting in various projects such as a comparisons
between brook trout strains and an age and growth analysis
of lake trout.
