Title: The Nexus of Law & Technology

Law and technology both play critical and central roles in modern societies. We will explore critically the relationships between laws and new technologies. Do laws tend to resist social, political, and moral change, while new technologies promote such change? How are laws and new technologies different and alike in the ways that they control social and political change? How do laws and technologies create, maintain, and erode social stratification and division? In seeking answers to these questions we will examine diverse literatures and media.
