Title:   Southern Africa:  Where Many Worlds Meet

What has been the nature of the relationship between African societies and the western world? In what ways has that influenced the course of development? What does Globalization mean for Africa? We will observe variations in culture, people, histories, political structures, and economic development whilst appreciating the unique aspects of African countries in relation to the rest of the world.
