Class Description Fall 2007 - Section R13
Title: Emotional Stress in Humans
Stress is a common experience. Perhaps you have heard someone exclaim,
"I'm stressed out!" This course will examine how humans experience
emotional stress from various perspectives. What is stress? Where
does it come from? What purpose does it serve? How do individuals
cope with stress?
These are just a few questions that we will seek to answer. Students will
actively participate in a review of literature and discussions on stress
including the origins, benefits, and implications on physical and mental
health.
