Class Description   Fall 2007 - Section R08   (Honors Section)

Title:   Get Rich or Die Trying

What is personal wealth? Why are some people wealthy, and many not? Why do most people have "money problems"? The financial culture of the US is bleak, and personal financial issues exert intense pressure on most people. Despite its importance, financial literacy is still a topic neglected throughout our education. It's not surprising that personal wealth is one of the few taboo subjects left in America; unfortunately it is the subject that influences our lives the most. This class will reveal the beliefs, habits, and practices of losing and accumulating personal wealth.

Note:  This section is open only to first-year students in the Honors Institute.
