Title:   How Do You Change a Harley?

Harley Davidson was an institution who did not feel they needed to change to compete with Japanese companies. But, Harley Davidson almost went bankrupt. What did Harley Davidson have to change about their culture in order to succeed? In this class, we will study cultures in business, military, religion and politics. Using books such as More Than a Motorcycle (about the change at H-D) and The Giver and movies such as Dave and Martin Luther we will discuss what motivates change and what prevents change. We will also look at how the modern invention of blogging has affected these traditional cultures.
