In an effort to allow more incoming students to register for a
Perspectives section most aligned to their interest, non-engineering students will be able to register for Perspectives during the April first-year on-line registration period this coming spring. Advisors will be sent information on updating the model course schedules to aid these students in the on-line registration process. In order to ensure that engineering students have sufficient choice as well, only a proportional number of seats will be released per section for this non-engineering population of students. Engineering students will be invited to register for Perspectives at the end of orientation, as in the past. More information will be forthcoming and full instructions will be included in the Tech Guide publication sent to incoming students.
Registration will still occur at the conclusion of Orientation week 2010 for all students. All students will be required to attend. During these registration sessions, students will be able to add any other courses needed to complete their current course schedule, including co-curricular courses, HASS distribution classes, or other general education or elective courses. This orientation registration period will also be available to anyone who needs to make changes to their current course schedule (drops, adds, section changes, etc.). All students, non-engineering and engineering, will complete a schedule verification process upon completion of their final schedule during the required Orientation week registration time slots.
