Laboratory:
The lab will involve investigating several different local lakes with a comparative approach using standard methods of limnological study. (See lab handouts for details.)

The lab exam will involve synthesis and interpretation of the physical, chemical and biological data collected from the lakes during the course. The data sheets from all of the labs will be distributed to the entire class.

Exams:
There will be three exams over lecture material in this course. The third exam will be given during the scheduled final examination period. The material covered on the exams is not "cumulative" in the usual sense. The format of the exams will vary, and will include short discussion or problem-solving questions, as well as multiple choice problems.

The lab exam will be administered during the last week of classes, during the regular lab session.
