Part VII. Summary of Lecture 16.

What we have seen in this survey of some known enzyme catalytic mechanisms is that the most common AA's involved with catalysis are:

Ser, His, Asp, Glu, Lys, and Arg

These are the most versatile AA's found in enzyme active sites.
