James Voogt

PhD (1970) in Physiology from Michigan State University. In 1974,
Michigan Tech recognized Dr. Voogt with the Outstanding Young
Alumni Award. Dr Voogt is a professor of Molecular and Integrative
Physiology in the University of Kansas School of Medicine, Department
of Physiology, Kansas City, KS. He is also the past Chair of the
Department of Physiology and was also the Associate Dean for Research.
A nationally recognized authority in the field of endocrinology,
Voogt is the author of more than 90 research publications and
book chapters and has been an invited speaker at universities,
conferences and medical centers internationally. In 1999, he spent
a sabbatical year as visiting professor at Erasmus University
in the Netherlands. He is a charter member of the International
Society of Neuroendocrinology. His major research area is reproductive
neuroendocrinology.
