Matthew Songer

MD, 1983, University of Illinois Medical School in Urbana-Champaign
and Rockford followed by a four-year residency in orthopedic surgery
at the University of Illinois Hospital in Chicago. He completed
a Fellowship at Northwestern University Hospital-Chicago in Spinal
Surgery. Dr. Songer has been with Orthopedic Surgery Associates
of Marquette, MI since 1989. He is also an adjunct lecturer in
the biomedical engineering department at Michigan Tech.
Dr. Songer founded Pioneer Surgical Technology in 1992 and serves
as CEO and Chairman of the Board. Pioneer is a leading developer
and manufacturer of surgical instrumentation and implants indicated
for orthopedic trauma applications. They target specific surgical
procedures that have proven difficult or problematic to both surgeon
and patient.
